Locke Signs With Men's Soccer
Ankeny, IA - Jonathan (JD) Locke, from Jonesville, MI, has committed to the Eagles Men’s Soccer team, signing his letter of intent for the 2025 season.
JD is the son of David and Heather Locke and comes to the Eagles from coach Nick Barney's team at Jackson Christian School. JD brings a wealth of experience to the team, earning recognition as an all conference, all region, all district, and all state selection during his career with the Royals. Outside of soccer, JD has won multiple awards for basketball and golf, and earned the JCS Corinthian Award given to students at Jackson Christian School.
When asked what he is looking forward to at Faith JD shared, "The Christ centered education and family that Faith provides and the ability to further my walk with God through this". He hopes to bring a strong work ethic and strong attacking presence to the team.
Coach Gary Backous shared his thoughts on the Eagles' latest addition, "JD is a tremendous goal scorer. He led his high school team to a conference championship last fall with a record of 13-3-1 while scoring 24 goals and 12 assists. He is very coachable and experienced, with all the tools to contribute immediately this fall."
JD will pursue a degree in Pastoral Studies while at Faith.
