Ankeny, IA - On Saturday, the Eagles went on the road to face their conference foe, the Ambassadors of Ozark College.
The Eagles started off the 1st half with a bang when forward Josh Forgie scored in the 2nd minute. After jumping on the Ambassadors early, the Eagles never looked back. Midfielder James Busenitz, outside back Parker Lundberg (twice), and center back Moses Amani all got in on the 1st half-scoring action as the Eagles dominated the Ambassadors. The Eagles went into halftime leading 5-0.
The 2nd half was much like the 1st half with a little bit less scoring from the Eagles. Nonetheless, forward Josh Forgie got in on the action again and scored his 2nd goal of the game putting the score at 6-0. The Eagles shared the wealth as 5 of their 6 goals were assisted. Parker Lundberg, Chris Barnette, Seth Freeman, all had an assist and captain James Busenitz recorded 2 assists. The Eagles flurry of scoring and ball control proved too much to handle for the Ambassadors as the Eagles cruised to a 6-0 victory.
With their 3rd consecutive victory, the Eagles improve to 3-1-1 (2-0 in Conference play). The Eagles are back in action this Tuesday as they travel to Dubuque, IA to take on the Eagles from Emmaus Bible College at 4pm CDT.
