Laney Jones Shines at Trent Smith Invitational; Named Student-Athlete of the Week

MASON CITY, Iowa—Faith's cross country team participated in its second event of the season on Friday, October 9, at the Trent Smith Invitational with sparkling results from freshman runner Laney Jones, who finished 13th overall for the women with a time of 24:28:64.

With her performance, Laney Jones qualified for the National Meet and was named the NCCAA Division II Student-Athlete of the Week for Women's Cross Country.

Josiah Brown finished 47th overall for the men with a time of 32:17:55, while Zach Lobb finished with a time of 37:05:56. Emily Anderson ran well for the women with a time of 26:28:96.

Faith's next event is Saturday, October 17, at the Kansas Christian College Invitational at 10 a.m.
