Cross Country Excels Despite Difficult Course
OSCEOLA, Iowa—The Faith cross country team competed well on Saturday, despite what Coach Long referred to as "the most challenging course of the season, with lots of hills, muddy in several spots, and some side-hill running in places, which made it difficult to keep your footing and run fast."
The men's team received a top ten finish from Josiah Brown (tenth place) with a time of 32:27:97. Ryan Hughes and Michael Sciranko were right behind him at 32:39:08 and 34:04:04.
The women's team also received a top ten finish from Chelsea Ratliff (sixth place) with a time of 26:17:99. Charity Baker finished in twelfth place with a time of 29:39:59.
Coach Long says the meet was a good chance for the runners to experience what it will be like to run at the National Meet in Branson at the end of the year.
The next meet for the Eagles will be Saturday, October 5, at the Dan Huston Invitational in Waverly, Iowa.
