Three Eagles’ Runners Qualify for Nationals
GRINNELL, Iowa—The Faith Eagles participated in the Les Duke Invitational at Grinnell College this past weekend, qualifying three more runners for Nationals.
Josiah Brown (31:17.8), Michael Sciranko (31:41.2), and Ryan Hughes (31:43.8) all finished with times that qualify for Nationals in November.
"The team all ran well," stated Coach Long. "We were happy to have all three of the men qualify to run at Nationals this weekend! They ran together most of the race, encouraging each other and pushing each other, which was fun to watch!"
The women ran a 6k compared to last week's 5k and each runner improved their times. Charity Baker ran a full minute faster at the three-mile point compared to last week, while Katlyn Holaday finished in 30th place out of 136 runners.
The cross country team returns to action in two weeks at the Southwestern Spartan XC Classic in Osceola.
