Holaday and Ratliff Shine at Dutch Invitational
PELLA, Iowa—The Faith cross country team traveled to Pella, Iowa, last Friday for its first race of the 2019 season. The Eagles had one performer (Katlyn Holaday) who placed in the top 15 runners, and another who ran well enough to qualify for nationals (Chelsea Ratliff).
Holaday finished 13th overall in the field of 55 runners with a time of 21:40.2. Ratliff finished 37th overall with a time of 24:26.9. Both runners have officially qualified for the national meet on November 16. Charity Baker, a freshman, finished in 50th place with a time of 28:02.4
For the men, two Eagles' runners finished in the top 50: Michael Sciranko (42nd with a time of 23:24.3) and Josiah Brown (47th with a time of 24:06.8).
The Eagles travel to the Les Duke Invitational in Grinnell, Iowa, this Saturday at 10:00 a.m.
