Eagles Finish as Conference Runner-Up

The Eagles made an impressive run at the MCCC Tournament over the weekend, ultimately finishing as the runner-up after a strong 2-1 showing.

In Friday's quarterfinal matchup against CCCB, the Eagles showcased an efficient performance, winning in straight sets with scores of 25-13, 25-19, and 25-20. Faith's aggressive start helped establish early control over the Saints, and they kept the momentum up through each set with balanced attacks and a solid defensive game.

That same evening, Faith returned to the court for the semifinal round against Emmaus, facing a quick turnaround but showing no signs of fatigue. In a high-energy match, the Eagles played cohesively, sweeping Emmaus with scores of 25-23, 25-14, and 25-13. The Eagles remained poised under pressure in a close first set, eventually pulling ahead to claim it. The commanding sweep advanced Faith to Saturday's championship match.

In the final match, Faith faced off against Manhattan Christian, a team known for its powerful lineup and efficient gameplay. The Eagles fought hard but fell in straight sets to Manhattan, who executed with precision to take the championship title. The Eagles ended the weekend with a well-earned second-place finish.

On Friday, three Eagles were honored with All-Conference awards, as voted on by coaches throughout the MCCC:

Sadie Long: 2nd Team All-Conference
Belle Wirges: All-Conference Honorable Mention
