Eagles Volleyball Earns a Big Road Win at Union College
LINCOLN, Nebraska—The Faith volleyball team opened its regular season on the road Tuesday night at Union College with a 3-1 victory, pushing their record over the .500 mark to 3-2 on the season.
After losing the opening set, 25-23, the Eagles stormed back to win three straight sets: 25-16, 25-13, and 25-21.
Abby Booth led a balanced Eagles attack with seven kills, and freshman Ashley Dey anchored the defense with a season-high 18 digs. Alicia Smith was the overall points leader with 10.
The next games for the Faith Eagles are this Friday and Saturday as the team participates in the NCU Invitational. Faith will face Oak Hills Christian College, Providence University, and North Central University. The Eagles defeated Oak Hills Christian College, 3-1, in last weekend's Spikefest Tournament.
