Eagles Win on Senior Night
Before a packed house of excited senior night fans, the Lady Eagles volleyball team cruised to a 3-0 win over visiting MCC Conference foe Central Christian College of the Bible (CCCB). The win pushed Faith back to a winning record at 8-7 overall, and 2-1 in the conference.
The Eagles started strong in set one, jumping out to a quick lead. An injury to CCCB's setter quieted the mood for a bit, but both teams were able to respond and get back to action. Faith quickly increased the lead and ran out to a 25-11 first set win. Set two found CCCB more organized in their play, having had time to figure out their new rotation with their injured setter unable to return. Both teams battled but Faith pushed through for the 25-20 set two win. After the 10 minute intermission, the Eagles came out strong, looking to close out the match quickly, which they did with a 25-10 game win, giving them the 3-0 match victory and seniors JoJo Hodak and Kim Post a senior night win.
Post led the Eagles with eight kills with Alyssa Larson adding five. Post also recorded two blocks on the night. Fellow senior Josephine Hodak had 19 digs for the Eagles, while setter Emilie Morton ended the night with 21 assists.
The Eagles game scheduled for Saturday, September 26 at 5:00 PM has been postponed to Friday, October 16. The Eagles next action will be at home on Tuesday, September 29 at 6:00 PM. The Eagles will face off against conference opponent Emmaus Bible College in that match.
