Lady Eagles Extend Win Streak to Four

The Faith volleyball team traveled to Moberly, Missouri on Saturday looking to establish some late season momentum. "We have talked in our practices about establishing a renewed energy level and momentum for a late season push. We realize the conference tournament championship and regional championships will soon be here. We want to be ready for those important contests," notes coach Lanny Nihart. Faith was able to win the match 3-0, extending their win streak to four and their overall record to 13-7
The Eagles started the match strong taking early leads until Central Christian made a push and came within 5 points at 20-15. The Eagles were then the recipient of Central turnovers and Kim Post kills to take the match 25-16. Faith was able to attain a 31.2% attack during the match. The second set ended with the Eagles winning by the same score 25-16 with Faith capturing the victory in set 3 by the score of 25-12. "We had good serve receive production and we were aware of our defensive assignments. It was a good match for us to win on the road and keep our winning ways," noted Nihart.
Sophomore Alyssa Larson led the Eagles offense with a 54.5% attack, 12 kills, and no errors while middle partner Kim Post added 10 kills, 2 serving aces and 15 digs. Junior center back JoJo Hodak led the Eagles defensive with 26 digs and contributed 5 kills.
Faith will travel to Emmaus Bible College in Dubuque, Iowa on Tuesday and then host dual matches on Fridayand Saturday before preparing for the Midwest Christian College Conference Tournament the following week.
