Lady Eagles Take Opportunities to Serve

The Faith volleyball team completed a series of Christian service assignments this past Sunday while ministering at the Olivet Baptist Church in Shawnee Mission, Kansas. The team met with a combined Senior and Junior High Sunday School class providing an overview of the school, biblical challenge, and fellowship through introduction games. JoJo Hodak provide piano accompainment for congregation signing and numerous Faith special numbers. Alyssa Larson provide a clarinet offeratory while the entire team and coaches presented two group special numbers. Stephanie Knupp presented a testimony challenge to the congregation addressing the many lessons she has learned throughout the year while being a part of the Faith volleyball team. Kathleen Howell, Kendra McLeish, Stephanie Knupp and JoJo Hodak provided a quartet special while Natalie Bunjer and coach Stephanie Nihart provided a duet special. Senior Natalie Bunjer whose home church is Olivet Baptist and who attended the associated christian school presented her summer missions trip ministry to Germany and coach Lanny Nihart prsented a message on the life of Joseph entitled "Onward, Forward!"
In October the volleyball team traveled to the Iowa Juvenile Home located in Toledo, Iowa to provide a volleyball clinic to the female residents. The team established different stations for the residents to learn passing, hitting, footwork and setting skills. During the stations each Faith team members provided their personal salvation testimony as well as how the Lord brought them to Faith Baptist Bible College. Each resident received a t-shirt and prizes as part of being invloved in the clinic. Coach Erin Nihart provided a challenge to the participants at the close of the clinic. "We have been coming to the juvenile home for a number of years and it is always a good opportunity for our ladies to ministry and give of themselves to these young people who have so many needs. Coming each year gives always helps us focus on other people and their needs as opposed to our teams," noted coach Lanny Nihart.
