Bio

Katie rejoined the athletic staff in 2019 as the Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach. Katie graduated from Faith in 2007 with a B.S. in Education. She received her Master’s degree in Education and English as a Second Language in 2012 from Drake University.  While at Faith, Katie was a part of the first-ever women’s soccer team and played all four years as an Eagle. Katie also played soccer in Saipan on the MPU Women’s Club Team and the CNMI Women’s National Team.

Katie has coached soccer since 2008. While serving as a teacher in Saipan from 2008-2010, she coached the Saipan MPU U15 boys club team. During the 2010 and 2011 seasons, Katie returned to the states and served as the assistant women’s soccer coach at Faith. She then moved to Qingdao, China to teach English Language Learners at Qingdao International School of Shandong as well as coach middle school and high school soccer.

Katie is married to her husband Zack, and they reside in Ankeny, Iowa with their son Lukas and daughter Emmalee.
