Eagles Pull Out Victory Over RCTC
(Ankeny, IA) - Faith women's soccer scored first and never looked back in their win over RCTC on Saturday.
The scoring started with Jordyn Frerichs finding the back of the net 3 minutes into the match. Abigail Speichinger and Emma Boldt further bolstered the offense with two goals to finish first half scoring, and Speichinger added one more in the second half for the Eagles. Assists were provided by Bethany Speichinger and Eliana Fritz, contributing to the balanced attack. The Eagles took 19 shots on the day, with half of those being on goal to show improvement in their offensive efforts.
Faith's defense held strong, allowing just one goal and maintaining control throughout the match. Megan Yuan stayed solid in the goal with 6 saves, bringing her season save percentage to 76%.
This victory highlights the team's growing success and determination this season. The program's strong performance and continued improvement suggests a promising outlook as the Eagles take on several NCCAA opponents before postseason arrives.
