MT. PLEASANT, Iowa- The Faith women's soccer team took home a win after a highly competitive game against Iowa Wesleyan College.
Within the first 30 seconds, the Eagles were taking shots on the Tigers' goal. The two teams fought long and hard for the first goal before Lyndi Shepard scored the first point for Faith at 26 minutes. The next goal by Lydia Trygstad at 32:53 put the score at 2-0.
In the second half, the Eagles did a good job of maintaining possession of the ball and sustained solid defense. They took 22 attempted shots on the goal but the Tigers' defense refused to give up any more points. The second half ended at 2-0 with a well-deserved win for the Faith Eagles.
The women's soccer team will play against Iowa Wesleyan College again on September 30. The game will take place at 3:00 p.m. on the Eagle's home field.
