WATERTOWN, Wisconsin—The Faith women's soccer team concluded their regular season on Saturday in the same place they will begin their postseason this week in Watertown, Wisconsin. The Eagles fell, 4-0 to Maranatha, finishing their regular season with a record of 5-6.
Maranatha struck early and often in the first half, with three goals from Alexis Sponable (two unassisted), putting the Eagles in a 3-0 deficit at halftime.
Faith gave up just one goal in the second half at the 74:18 mark, but was unable to get on the scoreboard, falling to the Sabercats, 4-0. Maranatha was efficient with their shots, scoring on four of their seven shots on goal. Faith managed just two shots on goal for the entire game.
The Eagles travel back to Watertown, Wisconsin this week as the regional tournaments begin on Friday with an opponent to be determined.
