The Faith women's soccer team traveled up to Minneapolis, MN on Tuesday to take on NCCAA II regional opponent North Central University. Faith came up short in the match, falling to 0-1-0 on the season.
The Lady Eagles struggled to maintain any possession in the first half as the Lady Rams controlled the ball. North Central was able to break through the Lady Eagles Defense six times in the first half with a mixture of nice build up play and being in the right place at the right time. North Central carried a 6-0 lead into halftime.
The second half was better for the Lady Eagles as they were able to pressure the ball better and slow the Lady Rams offense down. Faith was able to put together a few offensive thrusts but the Rams defended them nicely and were able to keep the shut out. The Rams scored one more goal in 49th minute to make the score 7-0 which ended up being the final.
The Eagles are away this weekend to take on Eureka College on Friday at 2pm and Lincoln Christian University on Saturday at 10am.
