The Faith women's soccer team traveled up to Minneapolis, MN on Tuesday to take on NCAA III regional opponent North Central University. The Eagles struggled to maintain any possession in the first half as the Rams controlled the ball. It took only eight minutes before the Rams were able to break through the Eagles defense and score the first goal of the match. The second goal of the match came in the 16th minute as the Rams had a nice build up play leading to the goal. North Central carried the 2-0 lead into halftime.
The second half was better for the Eagles as they were able to pressure the ball better and slow the Rams offense down the second half. The Eagles were able to put together a few offensive runs but the Rams defended them nicely and were able to keep the shut out. The Rams scored one more goal in 80th minute to make the score 3-0 which ended up being the final. The Eagles are home Thursday to take on Manhattan Christian College at 3:00pm.
