The Lady Eagles soccer season came to and end this past Friday with a loss in the North Central Regional Tournament semifinals. The Lady Eagles fell 0-3 to defending regional champions North Central University. Faith ends the season with an overall record of 5-9. Interim head coach Mark Stupka did a great job filling in this year, leading the Lady Eagles to set several new records.
The Lady Eagles defending was much better in Friday's game than when the teams first met druing the regular season. North Central was able to finally break through and take a 1-0 halftime lead. Faith could not get any offense going during the entire match, and in the second half, North Central scored two more to put the game out of reach for the Lady Eagles. North Central outshot Faith 24-2 on the day.
Friday evening four Lady Eagles were recognized as All Region players. Tayler Marinez, Hannah Nichols, Kirsten Passwaters, and Krista Peters were presented with All Region certificates and plaques at the Regional Award Fellowship.
