The Lady Eagles earned their first road win of the season and extended their winning streak to three games, a new school record, with a 7-1 win against Robert Morris College of Peoria, Illinois, Friday night. Faith is now 3-2-0 on the year.
Junior captain Kirsten Passwaters scored the first goal of the contest when she got behind the defense after receiving a nice pass from freshman Grace Kudlo. Passwaters went on to record a hat trick by scoring three goals, all in the first half. Freshman striker, Krista Peters, added two goals in the first half to give Faith a 5-0 lead at halftime.
Faith continued to control the game in the second half, and freshman midfielder Grace Kudlo added two more goals to the Lady Eagles' tally. "Our passing and teamwork is improving," commented Coach Mark Stupka. "We are learning the importance of communication and ball control on the field. I'm pleased with the progress we're making. This was a nice win for us."
The Lady Eagles will continue their road trip with a contest against Mac Murray College of Jacksonville, Illinois, on Saturday.
