Stupka Returns to Pitch for Lady Eagles
After a two year hiatus, Dr. Mark Stupka will return to the pitch this fall to lead the Lady Eagles soccer team. Coach Stupka was previously the assistant (2003-2005) and head (2006-2010) coach before stepping away to begin a new ministry as assistant pastor at Maranatha Baptist Church. Mark has coached 20 NCCAA II All Region players during his time as head coach, and has led the team to the NCCAA II North Central Regional Championship. Mark is excited to get back on the field and continue to build on the success the team has seen over the past three years. The Lady Eagles have shown steady improvement under former coach Shon Lundberg, who stepped away this past spring to become the lead pastor at Community Baptist Church. In addition to his coaching responsibilities, Mark is a professor in the Elementary Education department and continues to serve in a part time basis as an assistant pastor at Maranatha Baptist Church.
