Women's Basketball Goes Undefeated to Open MCCC Play

The Eagles faced two important games over the weekend, as the Midwest Christian College Conference kicked off conference play on Friday and Saturday.

Faith cruised to victory over the Bears of Barclay College on Friday, as the team recorded a season high 17 made 3's on 60% shooting from behind the arc. The Eagles all but put the game away in the first quarter as they outscored their opponent 31-8 through the first ten minutes of the game. Barclay challenged the Eagles over the next two quarters but the Eagles would reign victorious in their first matchup of the season against Barclay.

Saturday saw a challenge for the Eagles as Manhattan came out scrappy and hungry for the win. The Eagles came out slower than they were used to and trailed 14-18 at the end of the first quarter. Faith turned the tables with a massive second quarter performance, taking a 15 point lead into halftime, but they would not pull away from the Thunder until a fourth quarter run led to the 73-51 victory. The Eagles assisted 18 of their 28 made shots, and pulled down 21 offensive rebounds which accounted for 30 second chance points.

with the wins, the Eagles are now 10-1 as they head into their final countable game of the first semester.
