Women's Basketball Goes 2-0 at the Faith Classic

Faith took on their biggest challenge of the season so far as they hosted Kuyper College to kick off the Faith Classic. The Eagles and the Cougars played in an evenly matched game, with 9 lead changes and neither team leading by more than 12 points.

Faith managed to find the advantage first, finishing the first quarter on a 6-0 run to lead 19-10, but Kuyper would rise to the challenge and outscored the Eagles 18-8 in the second quarter, taking a 1 point advantage into halftime. The game was decided in the fourth quarter as foul trouble caught up with the Cougars, and Faith played their best offense of the day, seeing 6 players combine for 23 points to finish the game on top.

On Saturday, the Eagles played their fourth game in five days as they took on Trinity Bible College in a North Region matchup. Faith played fast from start to finish, recording 20 steals and a season high 27 offensive rebounds in their victory over the Lions. For the first time this season, the Eagles had their entire roster available, and all 15 players made an appearance to contribute to the win.

Three Eagles scored double digits, led by Katie Costello with a career high 30 points. Miriam Beenken recorded her second 18 rebound game of the week, and Mikayla Jones dished out a season high 8 assists.

The Eagles head into their first break with a record of 8-0, their best start to a season in recent history.
