Ladies Drop Game to Dallas
The Lady Eagles were back in action at home Monday night vs. Dallas Christian College to kick off the second semester. The Lady Eagles defense started out great against Dallas in the first half holding Dallas to only 22 points. However, Dallas' defense was better, as they were able to hold Faith to only 11 first half points. Turnovers and missed free throws really hurt the Lady Eagles throughout the whole game and Dallas was able to capitalize on many of Faith's turnovers.
Dallas continued to move players in and out of the game, keeping pressure up on the Lady Eagles and wearing them down. Faith was able to keep up with Dallas in the third quarter, but then when they came out of their zone to try and speed the game up Dallas was able to take full advantage. The Lady Eagles were defeated 68-36.
Holly Shepard was the game high scorer for Faith with 9 points. Ashley Pearson had 12 rebounds and 8 points, while front court teammate Laura Garwick had 10 rebounds and 6 points. Joy Smith also contributed 8 points in the losing effort. The Lady Eagles will look to bounce back Friday night vs. conference opponent Ozark Christian College.
