Ladies Fall Late

The Lady Eagles came out intense in the first half, and really played well despite Emmaus ability to shoot the ball well at the start of the game. The game was back and forth to start, but soon the Lady Eagles were able to get into a rhythm offensively, and got some stops on the defensive end. Freshmen point guard Holly Shepard led the way in the first half with 14 points on 6-11 shooting. Faith carried a nine point lead into halftime 36-27.
The second half was back and forth, and the Lady Eagles had their biggest lead of the game with 14:35 left in the game. Emmaus would battle back though and were able to take advantage of some missed box outs by the Lady Eagles and capitalize. The Lady Eagles struggled to score the basketball during the middle of the second half, and with 7:09 left in the game Emmaus was able to tie it up 49-49. Over the next 4 minutes Emmaus would hold the lead, but then Laura Garwick tied the game with a nice post move 53-53 with 3:36 to play.
