Eagles Establish New Records at Mt. Mercy
The Eagles competed in Cedar Rapids for the Mt. Mercy meet.
Friday was a beautiful day with a crisp breeze. The first race of the day included the women's 10000m, run by Becca Hulinsky and Lydia Mueller. Both ladies ran a steady pace throughout the race. Becca Hulinsky established a new record for the women's 10000m, running a time of 47:54.
Taking place during the women's 10000m was the women's long jump. Sadie Long and Hannah Wernli competed in the long jump, both gaining distance and jumping new season PR's.
Capping the evening at around 9:30 PM was David Loveall in the men's 10000m. David also established a new record for the Faith men's 10000m!
Saturday was a warm one with temperatures reaching into the high 70's.
The first running events were started with the 4x100 relay. Running in this relay for the Eagles was Lydia Mueller, Belle Wirges, Gabriella Widman, and Hannah Wernli. The Lady Eagles established a new record for the women's 4x100 relay running a 58.03!
The women's 100m hurdles were run next by Hannah Wernli who secured a season personal best of 18.11.
Lovemore Moloi ran in the 100m dash shortly after and also secured his season best at 12.4.
