Long to Coach Track and Field

Faith Baptist Bible College Athletic Director Brian Fincham is pleased to announce the hiring of Ryan Long as the track and field coach. Long takes over for Gary Backous, who will be focusing his time on soccer and his family. Ryan is already familiar to the program, having just finished up his inaugural year coaching the Eagle's Cross Country team.

Long is a  graduate of Buena Vista University, where he participated in Cross Country and Track and Field. He was an Academic All American in both Cross Country and Track and Field during is time there. Coach Ryan spent four years as the Cross Country and Track and Field coach at Northside Christian School in Columbus, OH before moving back to Iowa. 

Ryan resides in Ankeny with his wife Ellen and children Jared and Sadie. He is currently employed as an IT Architect at Nationwide Insurance.
