Men's Soccer Serves at State Training School
The Eagle men's soccer team traveled to Eldora, IA, this past Thursday to serve alongside Faith alum Chad Fincham at the Boy's State Training School. Chad serves as the chaplain at the school and oversees volunteer opportunities for interested parties.
The Eagle's set up and ran a soccer clinic for the first hour, using four stations for the residents to walk through some basic soccer skills. In the stations the Faith men provided instruction on shooting, passing, and dribbling a soccer ball along with fitness testing. Around 32 residents of the school were able to come out and participate.
The team had several chances/opportunities throughout the afternoon to interact and talk with the guys. After the station work the residents and Faith men divided into two teams for a scrimmage. At the conclusion of the scrimmage captain Andrew Young shared a testimony with the residents. The team closed out the day by passing out t-shirts to all of the participants.
The team enjoyed the opportunity to interact with the residents and to work alongside Chad serving the school!
