Men Serve at Boy's Home
On Wednesday, October 30, the FBBC men's soccer team visited the State Training Facility in Eldora, IA. The team was able to run a brief soccer clinic for the young men at the facility. For the first 30 minutes of the clinic, the guys were divided into four groups that would rotate through four different "stations" to work on passing, dribbling, shooting, and possession. The remaining 40 minutes was used for scrimmages, where the Faith soccer players were able to jump in and play with the young men from the facility. It was a blast!
There was a steady flow of laughter and smiles as the two groups enjoyed the interaction. The clinic finished with brief time for the Faith players to share a little about their personal lives. J.J. Parkhurst and Chris Peterson both shared their testimonies of salvation, and shared how the young men could receive forgiveness of their sins and eternal life by trusting in Jesus for salvation. It was a joy to minister to this special group of young men. Many thanks to the Training Facility staff, and especially to chaplain and Faith grad Chad Fincham for helping to coordinate the event.
