The Faith men's soccer team traveled to Moberly, MO, tonight for a conference match up against Central Christian College of the Bible. A quick start by the Eagles led to a 4-1 victory, improving Faith's overall record to 4-3-0. Faith is now 2-2-0 in the conference.
The Eagles took advantage of CCCB's reliance on the offsides trap as JJ Parkhurst got in behind the defense for goals in the 12th minute (unassisted) and 20th minute (assist Josh Huang). Ryan Koch finished the scoring in the first half with an unassisted goal just before the break.
The Eagles played much better the second half but gave up their first goal in the last four games. They were able to get one final goal late as Josh Huang scored off an assist from Caleb Acree to end the game at 4-1.
Faith makes the quick turnaround, traveling back to Ankeny tonight for an 11:30 AM kick off tomorrow (Saturday, September 21, 2013) with Presentation College.
