New Faces Look to Make Early Impact
The 2013 Faith men's soccer team begins the year with many new faces to join returning starters senior captain Josh Huang, soph. Jason Scheps, and soph. JJ Parkhurst. The Eagles will be anchored in the midfield by soph. Avery Snyder and newcomers Dawson Barringer, Ryan Koch, and Caleb Acree. "It will be a challenge to replace the talent we had last year, but this year's team is full of hard working and coachable guys," said Coach Backous.
Faith will start the season with #5 nationally ranked Providence University (MB) this Saturday, followed the next week by #3 Manhattan Christian (KS). This year Eagles will host the Midwest Christian College Conference tournament as well as the NCCAA North Central Regional Tournaments. The conference tournament will be near the end of October, followed by the regional tournament two weeks later, during the first part of November. The Eagles home opener will be Tuesday, September 10, at 4 PM, when they will host Grace University.
