Men's Season Ends in Regional Semi-Final

The Faith men's soccer team traveled to Coon Rapids, MN for the North Central Region Tournament to take on #10 North Central University.  The Eagles lost the previous match to North Central 4-0 in their first game of the season.  Faith showed that they had improved tremendously since the previous meeting as they were able possess the ball for extended periods of time, limit North Central's attacking chances, and create several of their own as they kept the game tied 0-0 at halftime.

The Eagles continued to play well in the second half as they had a five minute run midway through the second half where they created three good scoring chances but were unable to find the back of the net.  With fifteen minutes remaining in the game North Central was able to use their exceptional speed to beat several Faith defenders down the sideline before sending in a dangerous cross that was able to be smashed home just out of the reach of sliding defenders and a diving goalkeeper.  The Eagles did not give up as they pressed forward in the waning moments of the game to get the equalizer but gave up a second goal that bounced off the crossbar and deflected in off of the goalkeeper, Michael Craig.
