Balanced Scoring Attack Fuels Road Win
PLYMOUTH, Minnesota—The Faith Eagles evened their record at 2-2 with a 17-point win over Free Lutheran Bible College on Monday. Six players scored in double figures for Faith as the team gained some momentum heading into Thanksgiving Break.
Andy Hecker scored a season-high 18 points to lead the Eagles, followed by Seth Freeman, who really sparked the team with 15 points off the bench. Freeman connected on three three-pointers in the first half. Jayce Goergen and Logan Fincham added 13 apiece, Jared Pearson scored 12, and Carson Odle also gave the team a boost off the bench with 11 points. Hecker's 12 rebounds completed a double-double in one of his finest performances of his career.
Faith led by just one point with 1:05 remaining in the first half, but buckled down defensively to build their lead to as many as 20 with under ten minutes to play in the game. The Eagles dominated the glass, outrebounding FLBC 48-28, collecting an impressive 21 offensive rebounds.
The team gets a long rest for Thanksgiving and doesn't play again until December 3 with a tough road matchup against Providence University. That game will be played in Dubuque, Iowa, at 2 p.m.
