Eagles Fall to North Region Opponent
Faith hosted the Rams of North Central University (Minneapolis, MN) last night in what they knew needed to be a hard-fought game, in order to stay in contention. While the Eagles hustled and fought through the full forty minutes, the Ram's offense still took the edge and secured a 92-66 victory over Faith.
The Eagles were in striking distance the majority of the first half, trailing usually by no more than 10. A 16-4 run by the Rams near the end of the half gave North Central a spark and helped them build a 53-36 lead at the half. Coming out of the break, the Eagles continued to battle. They were able to clean up their play and limit themselves to only 15 turnovers, a big improvement from previous games. Nevertheless, North Central maintained their lead and went on to win 92-66 against fellow North Region opponent.
Tanner Van Beek tallied yet another double-double this season for Faith, with 17 points and 13 rebounds. Sam Pedersen had a big offensive night, finishing with 25 points, including going 4-8 from the three. Jason Conable got involved in the scoring action as well, as he came away with 13 points.
The next opponent up on the Eagles' schedule is Central Christian College of the Bible (Moberly, MO). Faith will take them on at home this Friday, January 26 at 8 PM in a MCCC conference game. Senior Joey Young will be recognized prior to the game in the Senior Night festivities.
