Eagles' Struggles Continue on the Road

The Eagles made their first visit to Kansas Christian College in Overland Park, KS over the weekend. The continuing battle with turnovers hurt Faith in the first half, giving Kansas Christian the advantage they needed to take an 87-58 win.

While Faith handled the full court pressure better than they have in previous games, the speed and size of Kansas Christian still made it difficult for the Eagles to limit their turnovers. Kansas Christian capitalized on the Eagles' mistakes, scoring 27 of their points off the turnovers committed. Faith found themselves down 22-41 to the Falcons at halftime.

At the start of the second half, Faith committed three consecutive turnovers, which led to an extension of KCC's lead. The Eagles would settle down after that but were unable to get all of their players contributing on the offensive end. Kansas Christian handed Faith the loss, moving the overall record to 2-15.

Only two players really played a part in Faith's offensive efforts. Sam Pedersen and Tanner Van Beek combined for 46 of the Eagles' 58 points. Pedersen went for 25, while Van Beek put up 21 points and also added 10 rebounds. Jason Conable provided another solid effort on the rebounding side, ending with 13.
