Eagles Up Against NCCAA D1 Opponent
In their final home game of the semester, the Eagles knew they had their work cut out for them against NCCAA DI team Nebraska Christian College. The 9-3 Sentinels brought in a full roster of size and speed. After the first ten minutes of play, Nebraska Christian had a 16-11 advantage over the Eagles. However, sloppy play ensured on the Faith's part, as the Eagles committed 12 turnovers in the final ten minutes of the half, which led to the Sentinels ending on a 24-7 run to take a comfortable 40-18 lead into halftime.
Turnover trouble continued in the second half when the Eagles came out and turned the ball over 4 times in the first two minutes. Another run by the Sentinels in the middle of the half put the game completely out of reach for the Eagles. Nebraska Christian earned their 10th win of the year with an 87-41 victory over Faith. Tanner Van Beek again led the Eagles offensive efforts, ending with 16 points. Jason Conable was the top rebounder for Faith with his 11 boards.
The Eagles' final game of the semester is on Thursday in Pella, IA where they will battle Central College at 7:30 PM.
