Men Defeated by Crossroads
Faith fell to 8-8 overall and 2-2 in the region Tuesday night with a 75-85 home loss to Crossroads College. Faith will be the #3 seed at the regional tournament held at the end of February, and will likely face #6 Oak Hills Christian College in the quarter final game.
Faith allowed Crossroads to open the game with a 10-2 run, but responded with a 12-2 run to tie the game up at 14 a piece with 12 minutes to play in the first half. Crossroads pushed the lead back to six and Faith then fought back to tie it up again, even briefly taking a one point lead with six minutes left. However, four turnovers and a 1/12 shooting performance by the Eagles, combined with 6/12 shooting, incluing four made three point baskets, from Crossroads found the Eagles trailing by nine at the break.
Crossroads quickly pushed the lead to 13 with back to back baskets to open the second half and Faith never got closer than five as turnovers, offensive rebounds by Crossroads, and missed shots for the Eagles piled up to stall any significant run. Crossroads turned the Eagles over 21 times, which they converted into 34 points on the night.
Faith will host Association Free Lutheran Bible School on Friday at 8pm.
