A trip to St. Louis may have been just what the Eagles needed, as they defeated host St. Louis Christian College 79-60 Friday night. The Eagles now stand at 3-1 in the Midwest Christian College Conference and 8-6 overall on the year.
The Eagles were without point guard and second leading scorer Jon Luke Talton, but still were able to push the pace from start to finish. The game was even early before a 10-0 run by the Eagles put Faith up 19-9 six minutes into the game. Faith maintained there lead the rest of the half while getting minutes for nearly everyone dressed as they went into the break up 11. St. Louis never threatened in the second half as the Eagles again were able to distribute minutes while maintaining the lead, earning the final 19 point win.
Faith travels to Moberly, MO Saturday to take on Central Christian College of the Bible. CCCB has spent some time ranked in the top 10 this season and will provide a tough challenge for the Eagles.
