Eagles Struggle at Dallas Christian
Facing off against their 5th nationally ranked team of the semester, the Eagles dug a huge whole which they could not recover from in a road loss to #10 Dallas Christian College. Faith finishes the first semester with a 6-4 record, with all four losses coming to top 10 or scholarship programs.
Faith was simply not ready to play at the level necessary to compete in the opening minutes of the game, as they faced a talented athletic Dallas Christian team. Dallas pressured the Eagles from start to finish, and the pressure had a strong impact in the first 10 minutes of the game. Faith turned the ball over 15 times and managed to only get 10 shots up in those first 10 minutes, resulting in a 30 point deficit. Faith would never recover, falling by a final of 78-114.
"I give all credit to Dallas and take the blame for our performance. I did not have our team ready to play at the level necessary to be competitive. That's my fault as the coach and I need to work harder to get us prepared to play more consistently and with more energy and discipline," noted coach Fincham.
Faith has one game left on their trip, and exhibition contest at Oklahoma Wesleyan University. That game will tip of at 5pm in Bartlesville, OK.
