Four Men Receive All Conference, Team Receives Sportsmanship Award
The Midwest Christian College Conference recognized this year's All Conference team during the conference tournament this past weekend. The Eagle men were well represented, as four men were selected to the team.
The Eagle's Cody Chaffin received All Conference Honorable Mention recognition. Chaffin currently is third on the team in steals and fourth in scoring, and is shooting 37% from behind the arc. Chaffin was selected to the All Conference team in 2014 as well. Jon Luke Talton received 2nd Team recognition. Luke is the point guard for the Eagles, and has had a solid year from that position keeping the team organized. Josh Bray and Aaron Leistikow were both selected as 1st Team All Conference recipients. Bray leads the team in scoring at 15.2 points per game, while Leistikow is second at 14.8, and leads the team in rebounding, assists, and steals.
The Eagle men were selected by the other conference schools as co-recipients of the conference Sportsmanship Award. The Eagles tied with Ozark Christian College for that selection. It is the second year in a row the men's team has received that award.
