The Eagle men's cold shooting struggles from Thursday night's loss to North Central carried over into the first half of their road game at Grace University Friday night. The Eagles fell 51-83, dropping to 1-10 on the year.
Faith shot a miserable 22% in the first half and trailed 19-45 at the break. The 26 point gap proved insurmountable for the Eagles in the second half, even thought their offense improved, as they were able to shoot 54% in the second half. Grace started the game with a 13-0 run fueled by an 0/8 start and three Eagle turnovers. Faith was able to respond with a 9-0 run to pull within four, but would then go cold, scoring 10 points the rest of the half. The Eagles never threatened the rest of the game, as Grace led by as much as 37 in the second half.
Tyler Betz led the Eagles with 23 points, 11 rebounds, four steals, and three assists in the loss. Faith will close out the first semester of play with road trip to Association Free Lutheran Bible School on Saturday.
