An early 6-5 lead was all the Eagle men could muster in their second exhibition game of the season. Faith grabbed the one point lead behind back to back three's from newcomer Tim Jones, but that was as close as they would be the rest of the night as #19 William Penn University lived up their ranking. Faith fell by a 60-116 final.
Penn used a 13-0 run after the Eagles took that 6-5 lead to go up double digits. Faith trailed 31-55 at the half. The Eagles matched William Penn basket for basket to start the second half, but the up and down tempo of the game was simply too much for the Eagles, as Penn put together a 23-3 run to end any hope the Eagles had at cutting in to the lead. Tyler Betz led the Eagles with 21 points. Tim Jones added 13. Dillon Gingerich grabbed seven rebounds.
Faith now turns their sights to the home court, where this Friday they will host Northland International University at 8 PM. That game will be part of the annual Faith Classic Basketball Tournament.
