ANKENY, Iowa--Eagle Nation proudly announces its newest member, Nathan Keck, a 6'1" guard from Kingsley, Iowa, who signed with the Eagles men's basketball team on Wednesday, April 17, 2019. Nathan, the younger brother of the current men's basketball assistant coach Justin Keck, is the all-time leading scorer for Kingsley-Pierson High School with 1,461 career points.
Nathan averaged 21.6 points, 7 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 2.7 steals per game during his senior season, helping lead his team to a 14-9 overall record. He shot 54.3% from the field, 38.9% from the 3-point line, and 75.6% from the free throw line, scoring 497 points in his senior season alone.
During his high school career, Nathan received 1st Team All-Conference honors three times and 1st Team Sub-State honors twice.
Nathan says the people and the Christian atmosphere drew him to Faith. He is most excited about playing basketball and growing in Christ during his time at Faith. He plans to bring a lot to the Eagles with a strong work ethic and a long, skinny body to deflect passes.
"Nathan is a wonderful young man who has the ability to score in a lot of different ways," says Coach Brian Fincham. "He has a heart to use athletics as a platform to reach others for Christ, and I am very excited and privileged to have the opportunity to coach him next season!"
