Eagles men’s basketball signs all-state athlete from East Moline
ANKENY, Iowa--The Faith Eagles signed Kalab Sidlinger, of East Moline, Illinois on Thursday, adding another multi-dimensional athlete to their 2018-2019 class.
Sidlinger was an outstanding basketball player for the East Moline Eagles. His career highs include: Most points in a game (39), most blocks in a game (11), most rebounds in a game (20), and most assists in a game (11).
He was named to six all-tournament teams and was named All-Tournament MVP three times during his high school career, leading his team to two state championships.
Sidlinger ended his senior year with 378 points, 192 rebounds, 80 assists, 66 steals, and 42 blocks. Between his sophomore and senior seasons, Kalab amassed nearly 1,000 points and 500 rebounds.
Kalab was a multi-sport star at East Moline Christian, garnering all-state tournament team recognition in soccer as well.
He is the son of Doug and Crystal Sidlinger and plans to major in sports management. Kalab won an Eagle award from his high school, which honors the student that best represents the school and its Godly standards.
