Tournament Christian Service Projects
An important part of every NCCAA National Tournament is the tournament Christian Service Project. Information on the various Christian Service Projects for the NCCAA Tournaments can be found here.
This years NCCAA II Men's and Women's Basketball Championship Christian Service Project is a three pronged approach. The tournament will be working with Josh Daggett, former NCCAA Pete Maravich Award winner and current pastor at Living Water's Fellowship in Des Moines to offer a free basketball clinic at Carlisle Middle School. Daggett, along with volunteers from tournament teams, will provide the clinic free of charge to children on the Des Moines southeast side.
Several participants from the women's tournament will be serving at the Alpha Women's Center, a crisis pregnancy center located in Ankeny. Men's tournament participants will be taking time on Wednesday of the tournament to visit Ankeny Christian Academy and read to some of the students in their elementary school.
All men's participants will be bringing a new pair of basketball socks to donate to Living Waters Fellowship's ongoing sport's ministry on the south side of Des Moines and Kingdom Hoops Beyond Basketball program. All ladies participants will be bringing infant supplies to donate to the Alpha Women's Center. Men's coaching staffs will each be donating a new pair of youth sized basketball shoes to the Lakesid ministry and women's coaching staffs will each be donating a large quantity package of diapers to the Alpha Women's Center.
